Parade Registration

Instructions for Participants
Line up at 9:00 AM at the Morgan High School parking lot.  Check in near the tennis courts. You will be notified of your parade order.  All entries in the parade MUST be decorated in patriotic colors and  follow the theme "Let Freedom Ring."  If you are a family or business your name needs to be prominently displayed.  Entries representing Morgan County villages, Morgan City or the town of Mountain Green should have their names prominently displayed.

Decorated Bicycles
A decorated bicycle section for the chidlren will lead off the parade this year.  This section will jump start the rest of the parade and end at Commercial Street, allowing the children to join their parents and enjoy the rest of the parade.  The bicycles must be decorated in patriotic colors.  Bicycle riders should arrive early at the high school starting point as they will be in the #1 spot.

Water Fun
The parade will end with boats spraying water at the crowd (selectively).  These boats should also be decorated in patriotic colors or flags.  It is imperative that those spraying water from these boats take care to only spray those adults or children that want to be sprayed.

Throwing Items from Floats
Throwing candy and other items to the crowd is encouraged but care MUST be taken to throw items far away from the parade traffic and NEVER in front ot the moving parade traffic.  WE DO NOT WANT CHILDREN RUNNING INTO THE ROAD to collect items.  We encourage the throwing of non-candy items also.  Toys, necklaces, patriotic items, balls, etc. can be purchased at online stores such as www.orientaltrading.com and other such sites.
